Job Description


Working under minimal supervision, this position, The Digital Health Specialist (SS), will sell and promote Watson for Digital Health solutions in the European Market. The SS will be responsible for selling Watson Health technologies via the telephone, tradeshows, and client facing meetings. The SS will support the Client Executive sales reps, who are quarterbacking the accounts.  The SS will also be responsible for net new sales as well as white space sales for their product lines. The SS must meet or exceed a determined sales quota through consultative selling techniques, as well as have a high level clinical and technical workflow understanding. The SS will be responsible for helping DEMO, document workflows, and build out solutons designs for certain applications. The SS will develop and execute a territory plan according to company policy, which will include strategic and tactical sales planning along with identifying, qualifying, demonstrating and presenting product capabilities as requested by the Client Executive. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Sales Specialty business development with Life Sciences clients in the Digital Health domain
  • Build key relationships within the C-Suite and departmental leadership teams
  • Meet or exceed all assigned quotas for sales, related applications and components
  • Participate in and manage contract negotiations
  • Ability to qualify, document and speak to Clinical and Technical workflows
  • Analyze customer's needs and recommends solutions that best meet customer's requirements
  • Emphasize scalable features such as flexibility, cost, capacity, and economy of operation
  • Able to reach a consultative level of selling with the customer
  • Collaborate within internal team selling model
  • Increase bookings and revenue targets YOY

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Advanced Degree Masters or PhD related to Life Sciences or Scientific discipline
  • Proven ability within a complex sales cycle, to sell the value of solutions through a consultative approach to the Departmental and some C-Suite of Life Sciences and CROs, and medical device manufacturers
  • Knowledge of basic Cloud concepts required
  • Proven experience in Life Sciences industry
  • Have a rolodex of existing departmental leadership within the defined geography
  • Present with confidence, the ability to perform successful contract negotiations
  • Establish a firm understanding of healthcare industry trends

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Solid ability to present or DEMO within a departmental setting
  • Consulting Services experience a plus
  • Imaging workflow knowledge a plus
  • Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE) sales experience a plus

 Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • “Target Account Selling” or “Strategic Selling” training mandatory

The work location for this position can be everywhere in Europe.
