In 2018 we are launching Watson for Patient safety to automate and accelerate and ultimately transform pharmacovigilance from a manual reactive process to an automated proactive process.

As a Watson Health Patient Safety Solution Specialist (SS) you will be informing and advancing the pharmacovigilance strategy of Life Sciences and Biopharma companies. You will be defining, scoping and closing deals that will impact strategy, process and operations.


The SS will be an expert in pharmacovigilance, someone who has a proven track record of supporting and improving PV Systems and or processes.  You are a change agent, a trusted advisor, someone who can lead clients from education, through ideation to implementation of revolutionary technology.


The SS will develop and execute a European wide-plan according to company policy, which will include strategic and tactical sales planning along with identifying, qualifying, demonstrating and presenting product capabilities as requested by the Client Executive or Account Executive.
 
Essential Job Duties

  • Sales Specialty business development with Life Sciences clients in the Patient Safety domain
  • Ability to demonstrate and articulate product features and benefits
  • Build key relationships within the C-Suite and departmental leadership teams
  • Meet or exceed all assigned quotas for sales, related applications and components
  • Participate in and manage contract negotiations
  • Ability to qualify, document and speak to Clinical and Technical workflows
  • Analyze customer's needs and recommends solutions that best meet customer's requirements
  • Emphasize scalable features such as flexibility, cost, capacity, and economy of operation
  • Able to reach a consultative level of selling with the customer
  • Collaborate within internal team selling model
  • Increase bookings and revenue targets YOY

 
Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven ability within a complex sales cycle, to sell the value of solutions through a consultative approach to Life Sciences and CROs functional and C Suite leaders
  • Proven sales experience in healthcare IT
  • Established network of existing departmental leadership within the defined geography
  • Present with confidence, the ability to perform successful contract negotiations
  • Establish a firm understanding of healthcare industry trends


 Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Solid ability to present or DEMO within a departmental setting
  • Consulting Services experience a plus
  • Demonstrated thought leader or change agent plus


Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • “Target Account Selling” or “Strategic Selling” training mandatory

The work location for this position can be everywhere in Europe.
