Task

The head of the Sourcing Office will take over end-to-end responsibility on all sourcing related activities for a large global customer account, with the aim at controlling all sourcing activities for adhoc and strategic staffing. This requires constant alignment with the Head of the customer account Resource Management, as well as the Global Resource Management teams and various stakeholders and supplier groups, including top management.

 

Main responsibilities

  • End-to-end Management of the Sourcing Office (Resource Management) and its processes
  • Central and global control on all sourcing activities for adhoc and strategic staffing
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Interface with the customer account management for sourcing input
  • Interface with various supplier groups for internal and external sourcing, including in-company and external organizations
  • Maintain internal and external supplier relationships
  • Manage an internal forecasting and sourcing table
  • Prepare sourcing business cases to facilitate strategic sourcing decisions
  • Respect profitability and sourcing strategy criteria on all sourcing activities
  • Execute strategic resources activities using standardized channels
  • Utilize a team of Business Operations Specialists to carry out back-end work
  • Oversee the candidate review and selection process
  • Contract Management: Support and drive the necessary hire paperwork creation
  • Central management of extensions for contractor and integrated resources
  • Create a continous improvement cycle for the Sourcing Office processes and drive continual improvement

Profile

  • Experience with working within a Global Client Organization
  • Strong leadership & networking skills – ability to manage a small team and to influence stakeholders globally
  • College/University degree and relevant professional experience (HR, resource management, leadership, project management)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; German knowledge is an advantage
  • Advanced usage of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Sense of ownership – acts as the owner of the service, owns issues and drives change / solutions
  • Customer / stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and be flexible
  • Proven ability to work on under tight schedules and great pressure
  • Awareness of financial aspects, ability to develop business cases to facilitate decision making
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle ambiguous conditions and changing priorities
  • Process management knowledge
  • Experience in working with virtual teams (Global teams in EU, Americas and Asia regions)
  • Certificate of good-conduct
